It also saw action during the War of 1812 and during the Mexican-American War from 1846 to 1848. Like the originals, these smooth- bore .75-cal. flintlocks feature brass hardware, oil-stained walnut stock and steel ramrod, barrel and lock. This Brown Bess Musket is an exact reproduction manufactured by Pedersoli™ in Italy. The .75 Caliber Brown Bess features a 42″ tapered barrel that is 1.250″ at breech to .890″ at muzzle. The .75 Caliber Musket comes in a smoothbore (.750″ diameter). The Brown Bess is engineered with a front steel stud sight, which doubles as a bayonet lug. This Flintlock Musket is designed to use 1″ flints and features a single trigger, sling swivels and steel ramrod with 10×32 male threads. The Brown Bess is 58 1/4″ in overall length and weighs 9 lbs.
