Taurus Judge 410GA/45LC Black Revolver with 3-inch Barrel
taurus judge 410
The Taurus Judge is so named because of the number of judges who carry it into the courtroom for their protection. Capable of chambering both .410 2-1/2 shotshell and .45 Colt ammunition, this amazing combo gun is ideal for short distances-where most altercations occur, or longer distances with the .45 Colt ammmo. Taurus has finely tuned the rifling to spread the shot pattern at close quarters or to guide the .45 cal. bullet to the target. Fully customized with fixed rear sights, fiber optic front sights and Taurus Ribber Grips the Taurus Judge is one decision-maker that lays down the law.
This .45/ .410 (2.5 in.) revolver also fires the popular .45 Colt. It has a specially designed frame with an elongated cyclinder to accomodate all these various shells. So grab a case of .410s and head for the Clay Bird Range. You’ll find yourself hitting aerial targets like a pro.

The Taurus 45-410 Judge is a very powerful 5-round cylinder revolver that can fire .45 ACP (.45 Colt), .410-gauge 2.5” shot shell or .410-gauge 3” Magnum shot shell. Normally firing different types of ammo indicates several different models, but the Judge Magnum handles all these out of the same frame, cylinder and barrel.
Equally surprising is this design’s latitude. The two biggest 45-410 models are 13” long, weigh 48 ounces and wrap around an imposing 6.5” barrel. One is blued and one is stainless steel. On the other end is the 2” barreled, 7.65” long 23-ounce model. It’s the only member of this family that features a black polymer frame with a stainless cylinder. The result of the small barrel and polymer constructed frame is it’s not even half as heavy as its big twin brothers.
All the other models have steel frames. In between the big 13” guns and the small polymer one, there is a pair of 2” barrel, 9” long, 28.2-ounce revolvers. One is blued, and one is stainless steel. The next pair up are the two 3” barrel, 2.5” chamber siblings that weigh 29 ounces and measure 7.5” in overall length. They have the same two finish options.
Stepping up, we have two 3” barrel, 3” chamber revolvers that weigh 36.8 ounces and are 9.5” in overall length. Obviously, this pair has longer cylinders than the previous pair. One is blued and one is stainless.
Next is a pair of 6” barrel, 2.5” chamber revolvers that weigh 32 ounces (or just two pounds) and are 9.5” in overall length. Obviously, this pair has longer cylinders than the previous pair. Again, one is blued and one is stainless.
This totals 11 models. All are double-action/single-action (DA/SA), which gives you a lot of control over how you shoot. Also adding control is Taurus’ own patented Taurus Ribber Grip. The name is a portmanteau for rubber and rib because it features a stack of rubber ribs that encircle the front and sides of the grip. More than just eye candy, the Ribber providing excellent comfort and secure control of the gun’s recoil.
